This week I set myself a challenge, to shoot and edit a film in one day. I set last Sunday aside and planned all my shots and music the night before, gathered my cameras and set off to film myself triathlon training.
Triathlon Training
The idea of the film is to show friends and family what it is like to train for a triathlon and why they should sponsor me to raise money for Mind. I split it up into 5 sections, Intro, Swim, Cycle, Run and Ending. The Swim, Cycle and Run are self explanatory but for the Intro I decided to have a run down of all the equipment needed. For the ending I wanted to have Mind written in the sand and washed away by the sea, unfortunately I couldn’t achieve this at Gurnard beach but I was very pleased by how it all turned out.
I ended up taking a little longer to edit the film, finishing the next evening, but it meant I was completely happy with it and gave me some time to think parts over. Overall it was one of my favourite films I’ve completed and I would definitely attempt the challenge again.
Filmed on Canon 7D, Canon 600D, GoPro Hero 3+ Silver and iPhone 6
Edited in Final Cut Pro X
Music – Lights by Jim Yosef (NCS Release)
