Last Sunday was the Cervantes Trophy with RORC over to Le Havre, I was aboard Phosphorous in which we came second in IRC 1. A fantastic result seeing as only 3 out of the 8 crew had sailed on her before!
Champagne Sailing
On the way back I jumped aboard Hooligan 7 as Phosphorous was heading up to Ramsgate for the North Sea Race. Hooligan 7 is a Ker 40, some more info can be found here at Hooligan Racing. We had gorgeous champagne sailing conditions back from France to the Solent, close reaching the whole way pushing up against 10 knots. With the bright blue sky, calm sea and a quick boat I couldn’t help to grab some footage.
