Just over 2 years ago I was fortunate enough to lead a group of University of York Students up the slopes of Kilimanjaro in aid of Hope for Children. This was one of the most memorable experiences of my time at University and something I would recommend to anyone with a sense of adventure! Now two years late I am almost ready to release the full length film of the trip, so watch this space!
Music: Hey Brother – Avici
Filmed on GoPro Hero 3 Silver and Photography form Canon 600D
Last Sunday was the Cervantes Trophy with RORC over to Le Havre, I was aboard Phosphorous in which we came second in IRC 1. A fantastic result seeing as only 3 out of the 8 crew had sailed on her before!
On the way back I jumped aboard Hooligan 7 as Phosphorous was heading up to Ramsgate for the North Sea Race. Hooligan 7 is a Ker 40, some more info can be found here at Hooligan Racing. We had gorgeous champagne sailing conditions back from France to the Solent, close reaching the whole way pushing up against 10 knots. With the bright blue sky, calm sea and a quick boat I couldn’t help to grab some footage.
Above is a quick edit I put together from the trip.
Music – Sail by Awolnation (Nico Pusch Remix)
Filmed on a GoPro Hero 3+ Silver in 1080p 60fps, Edited in iMovie, Enjoy!
